Kamila Dutkowska (b. 28.04.1996 in Wroclaw) is a Polish singer of the young generation, using the lyrical soprano, which in its sound gives great hopes for development towards the dramatic repertoire. Her great advantage is a correct vocal technique, variety of sound, natural vibrato and very interesting stage personality. She finds herself best in the music of the belcanto era and in smaller dramatic parts. She developed her vocal skills under the guidance of the best teachers and artists: Izabela Kłosińska, Olga Pasiecznik, Claudia Visca, Jennifer Larmore, Eytan Pessen, Turid Karlsen She currently collaborate with the Vienna Volksoper, the Silesian Opera and the Wrocław Opera. Privately, she is interested in international and political studies in the field of cultural diplomacy.

 

From an early age she developed her musical skills - she started learning to play the violin at the age of three in her hometown - Oleśnica. She also sang in the children's choir of the Wrocław Opera. At the age of 12, she began learning to play the baroque violin at a secondary music school in Wrocław. After graduating from high school, she turned her interests exclusively to drama theater. She began theater and performance studies at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Her research focused mainly on the performative side of opera. Soon she began studying at the Vocal and Acting Department of the Krzysztof Penderecki Music Academy in Krakow in the class of Prof. Katarzyna Oleś-Blacha. Since 2021, she has been a member of the Young Talent Development Program at the Grand Theater - National Opera in Warsaw. She debuted on the professional stage in the role of Countess Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro by W.A. Mozart at the Wrocław Opera as part of Mariusz Kwiecień's original project Opera Młodych. 

 

In recent artistic seasons, she made her debut as Micaela in G. Bizet's Carmen at the Wrocław Opera, in February 2023 she performed for the first time on the stage of the Vienna Volksoper in the role of Countess Almaviva from Le Nozze di Figaro by W.A. Mozart. In this theater, she also performed in Brahm’s Ein deutsches Requiem with the Volksoper Orchestra and Choir. At the Grand Theater - National Opera in Warsaw, she takes part in Chorus Opera performances, performing Roxana's aria from King Roger by K. Szymanowski. In addition, she made her debut on the Volksoper stage in Vienna in the roles of: Sklave - Salome by R. Strauss, Brigitte - Iolanta by P.I. Tchaikovsky, Bianca - La Rondine by G. Puccini, Fiordiligi - Così fan tutte by W.A. Mozart. She also made her debut in the title role of the Polish national opera Halka by  S. Moniuszko at the Wrocław Opera. Another debut was Donna Anna in the new production of Don Giovanni by W.A. Mozart at the Silesian Opera - she also performed in this role on the stage of the Wrocław Opera.
